According to a report by South First, nine organisations planned a 24-hour protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls near Rajarathinam Stadium. The planned timing is 4:00 PM today until 4:00 PM on Friday, 23 October. The organisers said they intended to proceed despite police denying permission. The protest is reported to demand withdrawal of SIR, protection of voters’ rights, restoration of allegedly deleted names from electoral rolls, and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
