The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) — literally Cockroach People's Party — is India's first openly satirical political movement built for and by the country's young, jobless, and chronically online generation. Founded on 16 May 2026, CJP transformed a casual insult from the highest court into a national rallying cry.
We are not just a meme. We are a movement that exposes systemic failure — graduate unemployment at 29.1%, examination paper leaks, crony capitalism, captured media, and a judiciary increasingly blurred with executive power — through humour, satire, and direct civic engagement.
Founder & National Convenor
A 30-year-old digital media strategist from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, currently studying public relations at Boston University. Between 2020 and 2022, Abhijeet worked on the Aam Aadmi Party's social media team. On the day after the CJI's "cockroach" remark, he posted on X announcing "a new platform for all the cockroaches" — and a movement was born.
